Denise & Richard Mathers of Warkworth wanted a brick & tile home.  They chose Platinum Homes for the service and value and weren’t disappointed.

The Mathers knew they wanted a brick and tile home.  They initially chose Platinum Homes because it was the cheapest option for the square metres.  “That’s because they specialise in brick and tile, so they get good buying discounts,” says Denise.

They had heard good things about Platinum Homes before building but did not know anyone who had built with Platinum so were undecided about their choice of builder until they met their Platinum Homes Consultant.  “She was really helpful and easy to deal with, so we made the decision to go with them,” says Denise.

Denise was really happy with the building process too.  “The whole process with the admin office was great.  She kept us up to date all the time.  It may have helped that we were living on site, but we felt totally in the loop all the time.”

The Mathers are now living in their home and are putting the finishing touches on it.  They are doing the landscaping themselves and have already made good progress on parts of the garden.  Denise says they are really happy with their house.  “I love our home.  Building with Platinum was easy and good value.”

Exceptional Quality & Efficiency Impress

Hugh and Joy Brading chose Platinum Homes because the plans suited them and could be easily tweaked.  They are now the proud owners of a Platinum home and are impressed with the home’s quality and the efficiency of the building process.

Hugh and Joy spent a lot of time tweaking their house plans to get them exactly how they wanted before they built.  Their efforts paid off.  “It is our own style,” says Hugh.  “We love the house.  It’s just gorgeous and we’ve made it ours.”

The Brading’s run a small art gallery from their home so needed extra space that was visually separated from the home. They achieved it by adding two garages enhanced with a portico with pillars.  They made other changes too.  The end result was exactly what they wanted.

It’s not just the Bradings who love their home.  “We have people through the art gallery a lot and we constantly get comments about the home,” says Hugh.

The Bradings were as impressed with the building process as they were with the end result.  “The quality of the build is exceptional.  They were very efficient too,” says Hugh.  “I like dealing with people who do things efficiently and well.  We were phoned weekly and I felt everything went very smoothly.”

Often it’s what goes wrong that matters, more than what went right.  Hugh says that if anything went wrong during the building process – and it seldom did – it was fixed immediately and without argument.  “We had a pane of glass, for example that was clear but should have been opaque.  One call to admin and it was replaced within 24 hours.  That’s the sort of service you want when you are building.”

This is not the first house Hugh and Joy have built so the quality of the tradespeople was a pleasant surprise to Hugh.  “It was more than the workmanship.  They were good to deal with and spoke highly of each other.  It created a really good feeling that you don’t always get on a building site.”

What do you like about your Platinum Home?Everything. We’re in the home now.  It was excellent quality for the price. You can’t do better than that.

Ours wasn’t a standard build.  The house had to suit an unusual section, but Platinum worked through that with us.
