Excitement is building as our first Auckland High Performance Show Home is now under construction in Paerata Rise, Pukekohe. The home is starting to take shape, with the structural insulated panels (SIPs), one of the key components of our High Performance Home being craned onto site last week.

Coined the Future of Living, High Performance Homes are created by using specific design and construction methods which utilise seven key principles of high performance building to create a superior indoor living environment for its occupants.

Structural insulated panels (SIPs) are a key component and are used to construct the walls and roof of the home, creating a building envelope with superior insulation and air tightness.

Our Platinum team were joined on site throughout the action last week by Nick Hubbard, CEO of Formance.

Platinum Homes are proud to partner with Formance, who are New Zealand's leading SIPs supplier. Formance pre-design and construct SIPs at their Christchurch based factory.

The panels are meticulously crafted for efficiency and are then delivered to the site and assembled using crane technology.

All new homes look beautiful and meet the New Zealand Building Code Standard, but it’s what you can’t see – the key material choices on the inside and the design process which enable a home to perform better, which is how High Performance Homes provide a premium standard of living for their occupants.

Our Platinum Homes Auckland South team are hosting a mid-build open home event at the Paerata Rise High Performance Show Home on the 15th of January for clients and those interested in high performance building.

If you are interested in building or simply want to understand more about the foundations of High Performance Homes, this is an opportunity to learn about the design and construction process, and to see the structural insulated panels exposed.

Pre-register your interest with the Auckland South team by email to Murray Taylor murray.taylor@platinumhomes.co.nz

What Temperature at Home Supports Your Health?

Why Indoor Temperature Matters More Than You Think

We spend a lot of time at home, sleeping, relaxing, working. The temperature inside shapes not just comfort, but health. Living in a home that is too cold, too hot, or swings drastically in temperature can affect sleep, mood, energy, and even respiratory or cardiovascular wellbeing. Homes that maintain a stable, healthy temperature reduce illness, support better rest, and help people function at their best.
