Our First Ignite Range Home Completed For Investors
The Platinum Homes Hawke’s Bay team has recently completed and handed over the very first home from our new Ignite Plan Range - a milestone for both our team and our clients.
Located in the popular Parklands development in Napier, a location that, when paired with the Selwyn Plan, created the perfect new-build investment package for our clients.
With the Ignite Plan Range launching at the very end of 2024 as a small collection of cost-conscious, efficiently designed home plans, this build marks the first completed Ignite Range home built across our nationwide network.
Designed, constructed, completed and handed over in just five months – showcases not only a phenomenal effort from our expert Hawke’s Bay team – especially with construction happening predominantly over the wet winter months, but it also demonstrates an excellent example of how our pre-designed range of investment optimised options can create efficiencies right across the construction process.
The stunning new Selwyn home was handed over to our client, who has now added the property to their rental portfolio.
While this particular home was built primarily for investment, that doesn’t mean it lacks character and design flair. The clients chose a bold, bright green feature front door to add a pop of personality for it’s lucky new occupants.
At 142m², the Selwyn Plan balances style, comfort, and practicality. Key features include:
- Three bedrooms and two bathrooms
- Open-plan living and dining
- A modern HK Kitchen seamlessly connected to the lounge
The Ignite Range offers affordable, low-maintenance homes that balance style, function, and quality. With four cost-effective plans to choose from, each featuring brick cladding, efficient layouts, and options to personalise, these homes keep costs accessible while delivering the craftsmanship Platinum Homes is known for as one of New Zealand’s leading home builders. Like all Platinum Homes designs, the Ignite Range Plan collection can be customised to suit your individual lifestyle and needs.

As we move through 2026, interior design is shifting towards homes that feel warm, lived in and timeless.
Rather than picture perfect spaces, the focus is on comfort, layered textures and choices that stand the test of time.
Here’s what is shaping home design this year and how you can bring it into your own home.
Why Indoor Temperature Matters More Than You Think
We spend a lot of time at home, sleeping, relaxing, working. The temperature inside shapes not just comfort, but health. Living in a home that is too cold, too hot, or swings drastically in temperature can affect sleep, mood, energy, and even respiratory or cardiovascular wellbeing. Homes that maintain a stable, healthy temperature reduce illness, support better rest, and help people function at their best.
